heterodox (adj.) – ‘of doctrines, opinions, etc.: not in accordance with established doctrines or opinions, or those generally recognized as right or “orthodox”.’ (Oxford English Dictionary)

Why heterodox? It’s because heterodox music is off-beat, alternative and against the mainstream. In a world dominated by the same old pop, we’re scouring the industry looking for rising stars and something just a little bit different in the alternative and electronic genres.

Every week, we look back at music history, pick a top track to add to your playlist and review an album which you dance to in your bedroom.

Heterodox Music is a team of two student journalists¬†from the University of Lincoln with a passion for music, Jemma Routh and Liam O’Dell.
